Job Title:   ASC Teaching Assistant




Location:  across London and South East – Harlow – Witham – Clacton – Stratford – Newham – Acton – Romford




Salary:      upto £90 per day




Contract:  Temporary (ongoing)




Sector:     KS stage 2

The Teaching Assistant is required to carry out specific education work with individual or small groups of pupils within a classroom/service setting under the direction of the Teacher. You will be required to support the ASC teaching team in the delivery of ASC lessons and related educational activities as specified in the pupils Individual Education Plans (IEPs)




·         You will be required to promote the interests and ensure the safety and well being of pupils in accordance with good practice and the policies and procedures of the school



·         You will manage delegated tasks within the provision, as defined by the ASC senior and teaching teams and the school .



·         You will be required to support, encourage and motivate individual pupils working on educational tasks and activities set by the ASC Teacher, ASC Senior Teacher and Head of ASC Service in accordance with the aims of the IEP’s to work towards good practice outcomes




·         To be responsible where required for the management of expenditure on education activities to maintain accurate accounts including receipts




·         To support the formal Education Review process by submitting reports to the Teachers when required




·         To accompany pupils to external activites or on educational visits


To maintain good personal and professional boundaries and conduct, appropriate to the pupil group and their families all group colleagues and to all external agencies including referring authorities
